Raby Bay Triathlon
On 26th February 2012, 3 members of The Improve Group team will be participating in Race 6 of the Gatorade QLD Tri Series.
The triathlon will include a 400m swim, 15km cycle and 4km run. The race starts at 730am with a 5:15am registration.
Other team members of The Improve Group will be down at the event supporting those participating in the race. Come join us and participate in this event at Harbour Park, Shore St, Cleveland
IG Xmas Appeal
Thankyou to everyone that donated towards The Improve Group's Christmas Appeal. The Redland Community Centre were overwhelmed with the amount of donations received and send their thanks to all who donated. Congratulations everyone!
Redlands Koala Fun Run - Sunday May 29
On Sunday May 29th, our Head Office team participated in the Redlands Koala Fun Run. Most of us took part in completing the 3.5km run/walk but Bob Carter completed the 10km. It was good fun and for a good cause. The results of the run can be found on the Redlands Koala Fun Run website.
Clean Up Australia Day – Sunday March 6
Our Head Office team registered a site at GJ Walter Park in Cleveland QLD, a popular area for picnics & barbecues, fishing and cricket. The park also has a dog friendly area.
A small site, we had 11 volunteers including family and members of the public. On the day, approximately 40kg of garbage was collected.
The planned BBQ to finish was a bit of a "fizzer" with strong winds playing havoc.
Cleveland Rotary Club - Monster Garage Sale (to aid Flood Relief Appeal) – Saturday February 5
You will no doubt be aware of the devastation of the recent Queensland Floods and the widespread effect. Most of us know someone who has been impacted by the floods; some in a minor way, some more seriously.
In response Cleveland Rotary Club organised a Monster Garage Sale held at the Old Botanix in Wellington Point. The event was held over 2 consecutive Saturdays and raised much needed funds for the appeal.
Members of our Head Office team volunteered on the first Saturday working on the Bric-a-Brac stalls, assisting in raising approximately $50,000 on the day.
